His Peace was Mine
Shame is an ugly opponent to face alone. It speaks volumes in whispers and distorts your identity. It shatters all hope and rattles your peace. It says things like, “You can’t be forgiven for what you’ve done”, “You’re too far gone for redemption”, “You’ll never be more than the mess you are”. If you’ve ever thought this way about yourself, let me be the first to say, you’re not the only one. In this book you’ll meet a girl who’s a lot like you. Afraid to hope and scarred by shame, she doubted whether peace was possible.
But now that girl is here to say that you are not your shame. You are not your regret. You are not the worst thing you’ve done or the dark thoughts you face.
This is the story of how God purposed my pain and delivered me from unbearable shame. My testimony, told through raw and honest poetry, is yours to be reminded that God is able to bring beauty from ashes and restore light to the darkest of times. So if you’ve been doubting whether there is hope for you, trust me, there is.

Amorina Galindo is a poet, author, and digital creator from DFW, Texas who takes pride and joy in writing poems that ignite faith, love, and joy in the hearts of others.
She self-published her first book at eighteen through Amazon and has pursued her writing with a passion for over five years. Her first book, 'The Joy that Life Can Be', was an expression of her faith in God, her heart for romance, her encouraging spirit, and her adoration of life's joys.
Her second book, 'The Forging of a Heart', expresses a season of first love, her journey from heartbreak to healing, as well as themes of romance, inspiration, faith, and life's little wonders.
In her third book, 'His Peace was Mine', she reveals the testimony of how God redeemed her from the bondage of sin and shame through His Son and the Holy Spirit. She also expresses adoration for her Savior, wholesome romance, encouragement, and the humble power of simple pleasures.
